The Household Support Grant (HSG) is a fund provided by the Department for Work and Pensions and administered by local authorities. The purpose of the fund is to provide targeted support to households at risk of economic crisis. Support is offered to provide funds for food, contribution towards energy and water bills and essential items linked to energy and water such as white goods.This phase of the scheme is running between 1st April 2022 until 30th September 2022.The data within this dataset shows how the fund was distributed to city residents, based upon the spend criteria provided by the DWP. There is a table of total spend, awards and the number of children that were supported as well as a map showing distribution of spend by ward.This phase of the scheme is now closed.
