Forest Service Rock in Forests (Metadata)

The dataset is areas of 'Rock' that is defined as non-forested, open ground rocky area e.g. scree, cliff or disused quarry. It may include natural vegetation corresponding to other habitat types including scattered individual trees or inaccessible woodland. Rock is a Secondary Land Use Code (SLUC) designated in the Forest Service sub-compartment database. SLUC are attributes applied to sub compartments, for forest management purposes, and for reporting in relation to Primary Land Use Objectives.
