Forest Service Natural Reserves in respect of UKWAS (Metadata)

The dataset displays Forest Service sub compartment boundaries designated with the Secondary Land Use Code (SLUC)of Natural Reserve. The Natural Reserve areas must meet the requirements of the United Kingdom Woodland Assurance Standard (UKWAS) Forested or Non-Forested Open Ground area forming part of a site of particularly high wildlife interest or potential managed by minimum intervention. Natural reserves are intended to be predominantly woodland but may include open ground which may become colonised by woodland. Forested areas in Natural Reserves may include deadwood habitats.
