This dataset provides details of the recovery activity carried out by Leicester City Council with relation to Council Tax and Business Rates (NNDR). It includes details of:The number of properties included for billing purposesThe volume and value of cases at each stage of the recovery processAdditional premium council tax charges raised from homes that have been vacant for two or more years and second home premiums that became effective on 1st April 2025Please note, during parts of the period in 2020, 2021 and 2022, liability order applications and enforcement activity were suspended due to the coronavirus pandemic.The council currently has the following contracts in place with Enforcement Agents:Bristow and Sutor - contract expiry 01/09/2027Dukes Bailiffs Ltd - contract expiry 01/09/2027Newlyn PLC - contract expiry 01/09/2027The information is shown in financial years and is updated annually.This dataset does not include data surrounding recovery activity in relation to Housing Benefit Overpayments.
