2009 - 2011 Centre for Environment, Fisheries & Aquaculture Science (Cefas) 2009-2011 North Sea and English Channel Sediment Profiling Image Analysis

SPI images providing photographic profiles of the upper layers of seabed sediments (to c. 30 cm depth) at sampling sites in the North Sea and English Channel, used to measure the depth of the aRPD (apparent Redox Potential Discontinuity) layer, a colour change in the sediment profile which approximates the depth to which oxygen penetrates the sediment.
